My towels need Refreshing…how are yours?

My towels have been looking quite flat lately and really not feeling as soft and fluffy as when they were newer.  My friend posted a tutorial for a Towel Refresh on a community Facebook page recently and I was thinking how great her timing was.  I bought a few new towels recently and now that I have them in rotation I realize just how much the older ones need a refresh.  I plan to use this method from BrightNest to refresh my towels and rid them of all the built-up laundry soap and fabric softener, chlorine, lotion, body wash and whatever else gets in there… overloading the fabric’s fibers, causing them to seem dull and flat. I found another version of the same how-to at idreamofclean.net.

Chlorine from the pool and the increased humidity in the air during summer time can definitely have an impact on the feel and performance of your bathroom towels and a refresh for them after the summer melee of use they experience is a good idea to ensure your towels are ready to keep you dry and warm throughout the winter as well.

Also I plan to take better care of them by following these great tips for having the fluffiest towels ever-also from BrightNest

I am curious to get feedback on this method of towel refresh and would love to hear from you about your experience with attempting to revive the fluff!  BTW, how adorable are these towels from West Elm?  I just love shopping them online and in the store when I have the chance!
